These paintings were inspired by walks in Panther Canyon and Texas Hill Country trails. The weathered limestone rocks are full of fossils and their honeycomb designs are fascinating. Water from an underground aquifer pours out of a crevice in the rocks. The water becomes a natural spring that meanders over sand and pebbles, eventually forming the Comal River. The banks of the river are fringed with ferns and wildflowers.
