I created these pieces of angry political art in 2016 when Donald Trump was elected president. The first image is a “Steam Punk” version of the American Eagle, with a clock, chains, cogs and other hardware bursting apart as the eagle plummets to earth. The next five pieces of art include weathered, low relief wooden birdhouses that are plastered with newspaper cut-outs and fastened onto painted acrylic backgrounds. The metaphors are as relevant today as they were in 2016 and express my sincere frustration and anger at American politics. The last painting represents a cry for peace in the Ukrainian/Russian war.
