I am a mixed media artist with a long-standing passion for both art and science. A fascination with light and glass is the thread that runs through my art.

In my acrylic paintings I strive to evoke the vibrant colour and energy of light as it passes through a medium. I’m inspired by the organic shapes and patterns in nature and enjoy experimenting with different techniques from semi-abstraction to realism, depending on the subject matter. I try to create an emotional response in the viewer with evocative images of still moments and thought-provoking visual metaphors that mirror the human condition.

I found that combining a painted acrylic surface with fused glass inclusions opened the door to new levels of creativity. Manipulating the glass in different ways captured the light and added another dimension to my paintings.
